Magnetic Soft Matter for Robotics
1st Annual Conference
4-5 September 2025 - Ljubljana, Slovenia
4-5 September 2025 - Ljubljana, Slovenia
We are pleased to announce the 1st International Conference on Magnetic Soft Matter for Robotics. This new conference series was initiated within the framework of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network MAESTRI (Grant Agreement No. 101119614), with the aim of creating a dedicated platform for this emerging application field (magnetic soft matter for robotics), which we believe holds great promise for groundbreaking technologies in the near future. The conference series will serve as a forum for researchers from diverse disciplines and industry sectors to come together, exchange ideas, and present the latest advancements in the field. The inaugural conference will be held on 4–5 September 2025, at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia.
We look forward to welcoming you to Ljubljana!
MAESTRI, an acronym for "MAgnEtic SofT matter for RobotIcs", is a consortium composed of 7 academic and 2 industrial partners. The goal of this consortium is to train a new kind of experts in the emerging application field of magnetic soft robotics. This way, we want to explore the magnetic tunability of relevant properties, shape adaptation, and self-sensing properties of magnetoactive soft materials for real-world robotic applications.
The conference will take place on the 4th and 5th of September, and will include 5 invited talks by leading experts, 11 oral presentations, and up to 14 poster contributions.
The invited speakers are Ahmad Rafsanjani Abbasi, Yuriy L. Raikher, Roman Kamnik, Aleš Ude and Tilen Potisk.
